Overview

I have been busy.  In addition to working our 20 acre Organic Farm in a record drought year, I have also devised a endless supply of clean energy (see Lateral Energy Micro Hydro Generation), re-defined how we tell time (See Centisol), and figured out a safe way to release pressure in a volcano (see Volcano).

ORGANIC Farm

The farm is sleeping for the winter.  We added about 5,000 bags of leaves to the fields this fall.  In the basement, we have started onion, lavender, and rosemary from seed.   Our seed orders for the year have been placed and we're ready for the new season.

Sunflower Head

#1 Web Site For Sunflower Seed Heads

If you go to either Yahoo or Google and look for "Sunflower seed heads" you will find a Bluebird Meadows Web page at (or very near) the top.   We take pride in our Organic seed heads that we offer at a fair price and strive to give a degree of personal service you won't find at other Internet business sites.   We only wish we could grow enough seed heads to meet our demands.  We have resisted offers to sell the seed heads of others - if we don't grow it under our Organic conditions - we won't sell it.

Our remaining dried Sunflower Seed Heads are keeping well in their winter quarters in our greenhouse.  The record drought was a disaster for our sunflower crop.  We are currently sold out of Jumbo, X-Large, and Large sizes.

I have prepared additional acreage for the 2006 crop.  Hopefully in the fall I won't have to stop sales of any sizes and our inventory will hold until the 2007 crop is ready.

What's New?

Owner's Web Log I continue to enjoy writing in my Web Log, although this year I got behind.  I have been used to writing in my log on rainy days - in a record drought year there weren't too many rainy days.   Finally, some snow in February allowed me some much needed typing time.

In addition to the topics already mentioned in the Overview part of this note, you also might want to see what I have to say about:

God's Gifts To Us All
Chapter 7 -
Monday Interview

In Chapter 7, the media finally has a formal opportunity to question Adam about the events at Long Lake and his role.  I had Adam describe "God" in a extraction of information I had gathered from research on various religions and had it delivered with a touch of our modern understanding of science and technology.
