Time Travel - Forward Only
(The Door Swings One Way)
I have given the subject of time travel considerable thought and concluded that, if it is possible at all, you can only go forward.  If you were able to go back in time, that would violate "conservation of mass-energy" as that moment in time already had a certain quantity of mass-energy and something new showing up would be seen as an addition.   On the other hand, going forward in time, one could presume that the mass-energy going forward would not be an addition.  Toying with this concept, I have gathered ideas for a new book "The Door Swings One Way."  In this story, a person discovers time travel but soon discovers you can only go forward in time.  Given that, would you go forward in time - knowing you could never return to the people, places, and things you may care deeply about?  I needed to come up with a time travel gimmick (how it is done) and decided upon a standing wave.  Wave theories seem to dominate in quantum mechanics, so I decided the right ratios of magnetic, electric, and gravity forces in pulsing in standing waves would have the effect of slowing and/or stopping time.   I think it would make an interesting story - being able to blend in the technology surrounding how time is thought to "work" with the interpersonal aspects of being only to travel forward in time.   I think I need some snowy days to get this story going.

2 Bought the materials to add a misting system to my basement greenhouse where I start seeds.
3 I did some testing of the basement greenhouse spray system using tubing - but it didn't work well.  I returned to the hardware store and exchanged the flexible tubing for rigid PVC pipe.  I then built the top level of misters using the rigid PVC pipe.
4 I added hangers to the top level of greenhouse misting pipe and then planted 1 flat of onions.
5 Added 3 more levels of sprinklers and planted 9 more flats of onions.
6 Added the last row of sprinklers - then finished starting rosemary, onions, and lavender.
7 Dumped bags of leaves on the farm.

Did the tie-in for the basement greenhouse watering system into the house water system.  Bought material for sprayers on additional shelves.

8 Dumped bags of leaves on the farm.
9 Dumped bags of leaves on the farm.
10 Made some adjustments to our Web site.
11 Finished dumping leaves on the Blueberry Hill Field.  Disked the field twice.
12 It got up to 53' today (gotta like that!).  Dumped leaves on the Sunflower Field.
13 Dumped more leaves out on the farm.
14 Dumped more leaves out on the farm.
15 Dumped more leaves out on the farm.
16 Finished dumping the 2005 leaves.  Disked the Sunflower fields to incorporate the leaves into the soil.

Started a germination test of tomato plants in 48 and 72 cell flats to see how the plants would do.

17 Added water splitter hoses in the basement greenhouse shelf system.
18 Did some writing in the Web Log.
19
20 Pulled some grape posts in the East Meadow Central Field, then brush hogged, and plowed to support expanded the sunflower planting in the spring.
21 Removed the tractor exhaust system.  Went around to local stores to find the parts needed for the tractor exhaust (no luck).
22
23 Added more spray nozzles to the basement greenhouse water misting system.

Placed an order for the parts needed in the tractor exhaust.
