		This view of the family cat reflects the child’s experiences which have been etched into his memory. The deep, haunting, glowing eyes of a cat at night made a lasting impression. The cat’s sharp teeth and equally sharp claws have been significant during playtime and teasing. The drawing was done at the cat’s eye level - where the child on the floor usually sees the cat. The joints of the leg were too hard to draw so they became straight lines. The gentle curve of the tail was much easier. The "Eye Of The Child" drawings are the innocent expressions of how a child views the world. The art reflects the limited experience of the child along with a limited ability to draw and color. Making up for these deficiencies are the warmth of heart and an eagerness to share what has been learned with others.
