The setting sun of early October is broken into a pinwheel of rays. The long shadows of the superstructure are draped on the sands of the beach.
This was a fun photo to set up. While I was waiting for the sun to set low enough to interact with the superstructure, I found a good location on the beach. This perspective allowed the sun to balance with the lighthouses. I needed to allow for enough of the beach to show the shadows. I swung the camera to the north sky and set the exposure - then back to the scene and released the shutter.
