All Natural
Formerly
"ORGANIC"

USDA Rule §205 established the "National Organic Program." §205.101 says that unless exempted as a small income operation, one must become "Certified" as an organic grower. §205.400 allows Certifying Agents to charge any amount they choose for the certification process. Although our farm is in full compliance with the physical requirements of the National Organic Program - and we wouldn’t mind paying a regulated rate to become certified - we have elected to NOT participate in what in practice has become a financial shakedown to get certified. In the past, we qualified for the small business exemption, but we have outgrown that. As a result, we may no longer use the word "Organic" in reference to our business.

We intend to continue growing the best produce we can - WITHOUT the use of herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers.  We have selected "All Natural" to describe our growing practices.

Your understanding is appreciated.
