Gourd birdhouses are
great nesting sites for many small birds and can also serve as a decorative touch
indoors. Gourds are generally about 5" wide and 8" tall. We make use
of all the "bottle" gourd family for these birdhouses - including
Birdhouse, Lump-in-neck, Indonesian Bottle, Penguin, and Mexican Bottle shapes. A
Birdhouse gourd style is pictured. Gourds are drilled with a 1-1/4" access hole
for house wrens and have small drain holes drilled in the bottom. Larger sized hole
can be drilled at no extra charge (use the "Comments" section of the order
form):
1-1/2" for bluebirds, swallows, and sparrows
2-1/2" for purple martins
