This simple diagram has always impressed me. I read its flow from lower left to upper right. My interpretation has been that life presents points of change. If we don’t change, or make the wrong change, the future is short, represented by a single sun. On the other hand, if we are able to make the correct change, the future is long, represented by many suns. I feel this diagram works for individuals as well as societies and civilizations.

Most people look upon this ancient art as being part of primitive societies. Maybe this primitive diagram holds the wisdom to show us the way to a better future. The symbol on the cover is a tribute to the author of this work of art.

I feel this diagram can model our values and beliefs. If we view our values and beliefs objectively, we can see many are reflections of our heritage. Rigidly continuing our traditional thoughts in an ever-changing society may not be the best pathway to the future. Some strategic changes may be in our best interest.

While God’s Gifts To Us All is a fictional book about what God is and how God ‘works’, God’s Gifts To Us All is also about values and beliefs. It is a book about personal change. This book alone may not reshape value systems; perhaps it can precipitate the first steps down a new road to the future.

Are we standing at a fork in the road? Are we wise enough to select the best route? If we just coast along, our future may not be very bright.
