Adam was taking his morning shower when Pastor Kanger excitedly knocked on the bathroom door. Adam turned the water off to hear better."Its on the morning news! Stevie can see!" The pastor was beside himself with excitement. Adams reaction was more subdued."Thats good" replied Adam as he turned the water on once more to finish his shower. The pastor could hardly wait for Adam to get finished in the bathroom. This was one of those times the pastors younger age was apparent. His excitement was so intense about WHAT had happened that he didnt consider WHY it had happened."Pastor Kanger, you seem surprised that God had the ability to do what I said" commented Adam as he finished getting dressed."Oh, its not that I lack faith in God or in you - but your prediction yesterday seemed beyond MY comprehension - everything else that happened has happened in the area. Stevie was all the way on the east coast - Im impressed beyond words" said the pastor with a deep exhale and a wave of his arms. He plunked down in one of the chairs to add a final note of exclamation."You must remember that it is God making these things happen, not me" replied Adam. "Gods powers know no geographical limits. Do you think well have much of a crowd today at the news conference?" asked Adam, angling his head to see out through the curtains of the cabin."The place is already packed" said the pastor. "I took out the trash earlier and there were people everywhere. Two reporters asked me for some comments as I disposed the trash.""What did you say?" asked Adam."I asked them what THEY were going to do today to make the world a better place" replied the pastor with a sheepish look at Adam to see if he said the right thing. |
