"I’d be glad to participate" offered Arthur as he stepped forward.

"How about you, Mr. McDaniels?" asked Lisa.

"I . . . don’t know. I’ve never done anything like this before" stammered the older man.

Arthur tried to calm him down "It’s easiest if you forget about the cameras and just talk to everyone naturally."

"Well . . ." Pastor McDaniels was not so much afraid of the cameras as he was unsure how his congregation - and his superiors - might view his participation. On the other hand, if Adam WAS acting on behalf of God, if word got out that Winston had refused to be seen on camera with the man - that wouldn’t be very good either " . . . I suppose I’ll go along with you."

"Great!" exclaimed Lisa as she directed the crew to wire each of them with microphones and arranged the chairs on the porch into a U-shape.

Lisa got everyone together and gave them a briefing on the format for the interview. She would begin with an overview story, ask Pastor Kanger a few questions, then go to Adam, then to Pastor McDaniels, then invite the other reporters to ask their questions. They would be shooting from three cameras - a stationary frontal and two that would be moving on each side.

As the interview began, the first part sounded a lot like the piece that was on the news the night before. Lisa’s interview of Pastor Kanger went smooth and Adam said much the same things he said with the two pastors in the cabin earlier that morning. Lisa turned to Pastor McDaniels. "Pastor McDaniels, what do you make out of all this?"
