Adam opened the door to Lisa once more. This time the view out his door looked quite different. The equipment and lights were all set. There were people everywhere. The commotion of the crews getting things ready suddenly stopped as Adam opened the door. There was a strange silence."Looks like you have been busy!" exclaimed Adam."Yes, we have" replied Lisa. "Id like you to meet two other correspondents who will be taking part in the interview."Adam walked out on the porch. The two pastors awkwardly exited the cabin, trying a little too hard to keep from being in the center of the stage."John, this is Adam Sampson" said Lisa to a man about the age of Pastor McDaniels. "Adam, Id like you to meet John Turner, from our parent network.""Pleased to meet you" said Adam as he extended his hand."Likewise" said John coolly as he obviously didnt approve of Adams casual wardrobe."Adam, Id also like you to meet Denise Esposito. Denise is from the Hispanic station north of here" said Lisa. From Lisas wrinkled brow, it was evident she caught Johns little act, and hadnt shifted her expression to the innocent Denise."So pleased to meet you" said Denise as she shook Adams hand. "I DO hope youre everything you say you are!" Denise tried to look deeply into Adams eyes as if in there would be the proof she was looking for.Adam quickly responded by peering deep into Denises eyes "You have great faith and great hope. You are among the cherished children of God!"As Denise ended the handshake, her hand dropped rather limply. She took a step backwards as if hit by a sudden blast of air. She was experiencing a feeling she had not known before and asked one of the stage hands for a glass of water."Will the pastors be joining us?" asked Lisa as she motioned to the duo who had worked themselves across the porch into a corner by the railing. |
