"Well, lets have a look" commented Lisa as she dropped the tape into one of the machines. The tape started with the group together on the beach singing some hymns. "You can skip over this" said Ted. "Mr. Sampson will appear in the lower right corner of the screen in about 30 minutes."Lisa deftly operated the controls of the machine which made the scenes flash by in fast speed."There! Right there!" shouted Ted as the section of the tape came up where Adam Sampson came on the screen. "I thought he might be going to hurt the kids, so I kept rolling."Lisa set the machine for normal speed and turned the sound up. She watched intently as Ted and the pastor narrated the images they were seeing. "Wow! Amazing!" remarked Lisa from time to time. She had seen countless hours of video in her career. This one was indeed special. They watched it twice at normal speed and once in slow motion."I dont see any trickery" remarked Lisa as she studied the slow motion frames intently. "Youd be surprised what some people put together with their camcorders. We always have to be careful of these hoaxes.""I can assure you this is genuine!" replied the pastor somewhat defiantly. "Its exactly what happened!""Please dont feel like Im accusing you of anything. Its just in my business, it pays to be a little skeptical.""You have a steady camera hand, Mr. Berhman" complimented Lisa. "The video from most amateurs is quite shaky.""I used to be like that too" replied Ted. "Ive been shooting for five years and know how important a steady camera is. I was seated at a picnic table and was resting my elbows on the tabletop. I think that helped a lot." |
