A hush fell upon the sea of people as Adam walked to the microphones."Children of God" began Adam, "welcome to this day of God! Id like to thank all of the fine musicians, readers and performers who shared their talents with you today. Id also like to thank the organizers and sponsors of this gathering and applaud their efforts to provide you this experience at no cost."Adam paused and drew a deep breath "Would everyone please join hands?"Muffled commotion came from the direction of the crowd as over a million people tried to join hands. "Clouds will begin to form - please do not be alarmed - they are a product of the energy we are sharing together."Adam paused again and looked skyward. The blue sky gave way to a high white haze which quickly thickened. The clouds grew dark and drooped closer to the ground. They swirled like a forming hurricane, but their pace was much slower and only a gentle warm breeze was felt on the ground. Before long, the sky was a deep purplish black in every direction. Then the swirling gradually stopped.Adam shifted his gaze from the clouds to the crowd before him."Dear God! Look at that!" exclaimed Pastor Kanger to the others. They gasped along with the gathering at the appearance of a distinct golden halo around Adams head. It was faint at first, but grew in intensity until it almost looked metallic.Adam continued "In the past weeks I have shared Gods word with you. Many of you have felt Gods hand personally and lost the use of your legs. Later, the hand of God joined with each of you in a day of healing.""God IS ALIVE!" exclaimed Adam "In each of us and in all things. If you look directly for God, your eyes will not find what you seek. Use your senses indirectly to understand that God is everywhere. You dont need to see the blue jay to know by his call that he is nearby. You dont need to see the lemon to know someone nearby has cut into one. You dont need to turn your head to identify a loved one talking to you - you know who they are from their voice. Open your senses to Gods great voice! God is everywhere. From the tiniest things to the largest." |
