Farm Stand (Formerly Organic)

Roadside-opt.jpg
Our original Farm Stand Made Out Of Scaffold Frames

We would be pleased to have you stop by our roadside farm stand.  In May and June we sell over 60 varieties of tomato plants and over 30 varieties of pepper plants.  We also sell herbs, lavender, and ornamental grass plants.  Later in the summer our cut ornamental sunflowers are quite popular.  In August and September our veggies come on strong - our   tomatoes are the most popular, but we also have peppers, onions, potatoes, and cukes.   In October, our pumpkins and winter squash will be offered.  When we close on Nov. 1, we take down our Farm Stand and
put it away for the winter.

Farm Stand & Farmers Market E-mail List
You're invited to join our Farm E-mail List.  We'll let you know what produce is available at our Farm Stand as well as any sales we might be having.

We also use this e-mail list to report on Friday what we will be bringing to the Saturday Farmers Market (June 16 through October 13).  The Farmers Market is at the west end of Broad Street in downtown St. Joe and runs from 9am until 2pm on Saturday.  Our booth is in the middle of the block near the alley.

In 2005 we rebuilt our Farm Stand into the 12x16ft structure at left..  The walls are basic 2x4 frame - power screwed together so Nov.1 takedown and May 1 assembly are easy.  Greenhouse plastic film partially covers the walls to block wind and yet allow sunlight to the plants on display.   A locked cash box is bolted to the back of the structure - we use an honor system for leaving money and we empty the box frequently during the day.  Later in the summer, we power screwed the sunflower vase holders (in the photo above) to the front of the Farm Stand.

We're located in southwest Michigan.  From Interstate I-94, take exit #22 at Stevensville.  Drive east about  3 miles.   Go past Lincoln and you will find a mobile home park on the right (south side of the road).  We're at the top of the hill east of the mobile home park.  If you come to Hollywood Road, you have gone too far.
