One of my favorite fields on the farm is this one where we grow ornamental sunflowers. This is a fall picture showing the leftovers which spend the winter offering a snack for our many birds. I will get a picture next summer when they are all in bloom - I used these sunflowers to make note card R204-100. I save some of our seed from year to year and like the flowers which show a cross-breeding that results in a pleasing blend of colors. If you clicked on the note card image, you'll see that most of our flowers have blended colors. We sell these as cut flowers and many people have to touch them to make sure they are real. We have five 300ft long rows of these sunflowers. |
