The East Pond of our Organic Farm measures 50x100ft and is about 6ft deep. An island has been left in the middle for nesting waterfowl, basking turtles, etc. Since the pond is in the lowest area of our farm, it gets its water from natural runoff and is also connected to the Marsh Pond by a 8" pipe under the tractor path to the right. In addition to being a wildlife focus, the East Pond is also used for Mobile Irrigation. |

The East Pond is drying up in the middle of a hot, dry summer - a good opportunity to scoup out the rich back ooze to help fertilize our soil. |
