Hey Chicken - You're Ugly

A7-7-738	"Hey Chicken - You're Ugly!"
		The calves in the barnyard, being so much larger than all the other creatures there, sometimes heckle the lesser life forms. Like a living “Far Side” cartoon, this arrogant calf hurls insults at a passing chicken. This was a VERY dynamic photo to create. I started by getting as low as I could to capture the action at their eye level. Next, I waited until the chicken was near the calf. I made some noises which got the chicken’s attention (the chicken is really looking at me - not the calf). I took several shots to get both the calf with his mouth open - and - the chicken in a good position. In the end, I get considerable enjoyment in capturing a photo like this as it usually brings a smile to everyone sees it.
