A mute swan shows off the graceful curve of its neck while it feeds on aquatic vegetation.

Although it's difficult to see in these low resolution images for the Internet, the swan was feeding on aquatic vegetation - there's a plant hanging from its mouth.   Often, when wild critters are feeding (or mating), they are not as aware of photographers sneaking up on them.  In this case, I used a telephoto lens and got as close as I could.  Then I waited for "the moment" when the swan brought a plant up to the surface.  Fortunately, the swan was in a profile position when that happened.
