Morning glories are one of my favorite flowers. I remember as a young lad having a careful look inside a morning glory bloom on a late summer day. I got a bit too close before I discovered the colorful center of one bloom was a honey bee. Although I didn't get stung, I sure had a good run around our backyard. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I really like morning glories all that much.
This was a good subject for a standard 35mm lens. The key to this photo was finding a bloom in a good setting. This included the mottled lighting and a good amount of green to set off the single bloom.
